We all know it’s important it is to “eat the rainbow”...or do we?
Like so many other things these days, most of us only retain so much information about what it really takes to be healthy.
For one, because we are bombarded with TONS of data and add that tell us to do one thing to be healthy only to change the next day.
Second we often don’t associate much importance to an issue that isn’t directly affecting us in the moment (or so we think).
After my dad passed away in 2007, I started a mission to get healthier. It took lots of trial and error, research and finding what would work best for me, but I started making better choices gradually.
Before having my son in 2014, I got huge into juicing, and would spend hundreds of dollars on organic produce to run through the press. I’d be set for the week with all the micronutrients, raw vegetable salads and lean proteins.
I felt the best in my entire life, but it was a massive investment of time and energy (my husband was in Korea for a year at the time, so I had a lot of space to fill in his absence).
Things changed dramatically when my son was born. I struggled with balancing my prior healthy habits with caring for a newborn, being #teamnosleep and battling all the sweet cravings that came along with it.
My clean eating went out the window, and to add insult to injury, my gut health took a huge blow when I suffered back to back food poisoning incidents that left me with awful bloating, irregular bowel movements, stomach pains, brain fog and severe fatigue.
I wanted to heal myself naturally, so I tried going back to my juicing...huge wake up call as a new mom, I just didn’t have the time and energy to do all that work!
Then I researched the best probiotics, greens powders, prebiotic foods, digestive enzymes and bought them ALL...with little relief.
It wasn’t until I found OptiGreens50 and decided to try it as a last resort that I was able to start feeling like myself again. It contained all the things my body needed to heal: powerful superfoods, organic grasses, digestive enzymes and probiotics, and I saw dramatic results within a few DAYS.
I couldn’t believe the difference I felt after having tried nearly everything holistically for MONTHS before that.
Besides being beyond grateful to have found something that worked for me, I made a promise to myself that instead of waiting for another health issue to come up...I vowed to steer the odds in my favor by properly nourishing my body in the best way possible.
It’s not practical for me to juice at this point in my life, so I’m truly grateful for my greens and superfoods that help keep my health in check.
