If you’re not adding asparagus to your meal prep, you need to start!
. This is one of my favorite vegetables, and up until recently I had no clue of the many benefits the spears we grew up harvesting fresh every summer in Michigan had to offer. . First, asparagus is a very low carb veggie that’s loaded with fiber which is great for healthy digestion and reducing bad cholesterol levels. . It’s also packed with antioxidants (free radical fighters) and folic acid that promotes DNA synthesis in our bodies...this plays a key role in reducing many disease processes that can lead to certain health concerns like cancer and other inflammatory illnesses. . Not only that, asparagus is a great source of vitamins C, A, E and K, all of which aid in reducing inflammation, support the immune system and bone health as well! . So the next time you consider skipping this vegetable in the grocery store, remember all of the amazing benefits it brings to the table! . I personally love it tossed with a little olive oil, sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, then (taking a bunch of 3-5 spears) wrapped in turkey bacon and roasted! Ahhhhmazing! . . . . 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 #asparaguslove #eatyourvegetables #powerfood #foodfacts #wonderfullyfitmom Asparagus facts via: https://www.nutrition-and-you.com/asparagus.html
