Apple "Pi" Smoothie

Happy #piday ☺️ I'll be honest and tell you that I absolutely hated math coming up in school 😆 Many recipes I come up with bring me memories of my Dad since cooking together was one of his favorite things to do. I'll share a little story that made me smile as I was whipping (well blending) up this tasty treat for breakfast.

My loathing for math started when I was in about the third grade and needed help with my homework. I asked my Dad for some insight into the times tables and multiplication problems I was struggling with, and he started off okay but eventually ended up on square roots and advanced algebra 😂 Needless to say I was more confused by the time he had finished "helping" me and from then on it was never my best subject. I was able to grasp a better understanding in college and actually did pretty well, but I always get a chuckle thinking back to "that time Dad helped me with my math homework" ❤

A smoothie, a memory, and a special day for the world of numbers....I'll use it as as an excuse to enjoy something "Pi" related. Though there's not much for me to enjoy when it comes to arithmetic, thankfully there's everything to love in the creamy sweet Apple "Pi" Smoothie ❤ See the recipe below!

1 large Apple (I used a honeycrisp)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/3 cup raw organic Oats
1 tbsp MCT oil (I used #SportsResearch brand)
1 scoop of Better Body Foods Superfood Blend (Found at Costco)
2 scoops #Orgain Sweet Vanilla Bean Protein Powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup ice (optional)

Blend all ingredients together until smooth, then top with a little fresh cinnamon and Apple slices 👌
