This little light of mine....
. How you talk to yourself is important. . Probably more crucial than you ever realize. . Do you speak in your mind positive words? . Or do you fill your head with questions and doubts. . For years I struggled with negative self-talk. . I let past experiences haunt my present existence, holding me back from achieving the things I wanted in life. . I chose to keep my dreams cloaked in shadows because I didn’t believe enough in myself to pursue them. . It was an awful place to be, and it tore me apart to feel I was meant for so much more than my current situation dictated. . In reality, I was dictating my own stagnation, and I desperately needed to get my head above the emotional quicksand I’d created. . If there’s one thing that has saved me time and time again from that pit, it’s my faith in God. . I know that no matter how bad things get, I have a Mighty Redeemer that understands my pain, and loves me no matter what I’m going through. . Knowing I am unique, with heaven breathed gifts and qualities unlike anyone else is an awe-inspiring feeling. . I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God. . So how is it that I always tend look for the worst in myself? . Looking back with renewed perspective, I realize that a lot of this had to do with failing to take proper action to change my attitude toward MYSELF. . That is the first step. . Recognize you are a gift. . Tell yourself you can, and build trust within yourself by doing what you set out to do. . With action comes results, and with results comes confidence, growth and positive change. . We all have the potential to be a blessing and an encouragement to others during difficult moments. . That healing starts within ourselves. . When you find that light, you’ll do whatever you can to share it so it will never be extinguished. . Speak life and love to yourself, and it will spread to others like wildfire. . “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5 🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯 #shineyourlight #savedbygrace #wonderfullymade #iam1stphorm #wonderfullyfitmom I’ve been working on new ways to have more balance in my meals while keeping them “prep” friendly, and my latest concoction transformed my egg white Proats (protein oats) into Cinnamon Proat muffins! They came out so good, and my son has been asking for them every day! Total Mom win! For this recipe you will need: 2 cups old fashioned oats, prepared per package instructions. 1 cup old fashioned oats (dry) 1/2 tbsp cinnamon 2 cups liquid egg whites 2 scoops of Cinnamon Cookie Batter Protein 1/4 cup of Lakanto golden monk fruit sweetener 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt or sea salt 1 tsp vanilla extract Pam Baking Spray and a non-stick muffin tin Directions: First, preheat your oven to 350F, and spray your muffin tin with non-stick spray (I love Pam Baking spray for egg and oat muffins). Next, combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well incorporated. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup or ice cream scoop (that’s my go to) fill each muffin tin about 2/3 full, then bake for 14-18 minutes until just set. This made enough for 24 muffins, so if you have 2 muffin tins you can bake them all in one shot. One thing I made sure to do was slightly undercook them to avoid having dry muffins, they took about 15 minutes at 350F to just set, at which point I pulled them out to cool (they can continue cooking after they come out of the oven so don’t overdo it!)
Below are the macros for 2 egg muffins! These muffins are delicious, not like a bread muffin but more closer to an egg cup, they have been a life-saver for quick breakfast options this week 🙌 Feel free to reheat them, drizzle some PBFit on top and enjoy! Let’s talk about nutrition...there are a lot of misconceptions about what we should and shouldn’t eat, but the important thing to remember is that we need to focus on eating for FAT loss and not just WEIGHT loss...
There are so many fad diets and other drastic ways of eating that will make you lose weight, but often times lean muscle is sacrificed in the process, leading to rebound weight gain. That is why it’s so important to get a good balance of all the macronutrients, including carbs (we all know the myths there, they are not bad for you if you’re consuming the right kind!) which I’m sure some of you are a little taken aback by the quantity in your plan. I’m currently over 200 grams per day which scared me at first! But we have to remember that our bodies preferred fuel source is carbohydrates, they are the easiest to convert into energy, and when consumed with the proper balance of protein and micronutrients from fruits and veggies, they turn our bodies into fat burning machines! 🔥🔥🔥 For the first time in my entire life I’m eating more and seeing better results than ever, (even during my figure competition prep), but it takes time and consistency to get there! I’d love to help you conquer your goals the right way, without starvation tactics or cutting carbs drastically...feel free to comment with any questions or email me if you’d like. 🙏 Win the day my friends! Or those who have a low tolerance from stimulant pre-workouts? 🤯 I can count myself in both categories these days, and so my go-to for late night training sessions is always @1stphorm #AlphacreHD 🙌 This is a non-stimulant pre-workout that contains creatine and beta-alanine as buffers to fight muscle fatigue during my intense boot camp workouts. I used to think that creatine was like steroids (not kidding) intended for guys looking to get huge in the gym doing first bumps and hogging all the benches 🤣. As it turns out, creatine is naturally occurring in our bodies and serves an important purpose in muscle recovery. Creatine mono-hydrate helps to restore the energy source for your muscles (ATP) so that your tissues recover faster and lets you lift more efficiently (more pump for more repetitions=increased lean muscle gains). Beta-alanine is the second part of this pre-workout that acts as a buffer (neutralizes) Hydrogen ions that cause lactic acid build up (that’s what ultimately leads to fatigue in the tissues). That means I can train longer without tiring as quickly! The great thing about AlphaCre is that it can be taken any time of the day, so if you’re sensitive to high amounts of caffeine as in some stimulant formulas, this is a great alternative to still get a great pump without having to high-tail it for the locker room mid set 🏃🏽♀️🙈🚽 I’m sure you’ve been there at least once in your lifting days 🤣 On a side note, the Fruit Punch flavor is really good, but I just got the Grape in the other day and it’s flipping awesome...and I typically dislike grape flavored anything! If you’d like more info about AlphaCreHD feel free to reach out! You can also read more about it here! 🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇 #preworkout #stimfree #creatinegains #themoreyouknow #1stphorm |
